{"id":9268,"date":"2026-09-07T11:07:34","date_gmt":"2026-09-07T11:07:34","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/agamiduniya.in\/?p=9268"},"modified":"2026-09-07T11:08:44","modified_gmt":"2026-09-07T11:08:44","slug":"odisha-vigilance-nabs-two-revenue-officials","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/agamiduniya.in\/?p=9268","title":{"rendered":"ODISHA VIGILANCE NABS TWO REVENUE OFFICIALS"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>ODISHA VIGILANCE NABS TWO REVENUE OFFICIALS OF PURI DISTRICT FOR TAKING BRIBE RS 35,000\/- IN A MUTATION CASE FOR CONVERSION OF AGRICULTURAL LAND TO HOMESTEAD LAND<\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>BHUBANESWAR 07.09.2026 [ADN]<\/strong> Today a short while ago, Kalyani Jena, Revenue Inspector and Purna Chandra Behera, ARI, both of Siula RI Circle under Pipili Tahasil, Dist-Puri have been apprehended by Odisha Vigilance <em>for demanding and taking a bribe of Rs.35,000\/- from an applicant for processing and forwarding the enquiry report in a mutation case for conversion of his land<\/em>. The applicant had applied as per rules of the Govt in R&amp;DM Department <em>for conversion of agricultural land to homestead land<\/em>. When the applicant enquired about the status of the case in the RI office, both accused RI Smt Jena and ARI Sri Behera demanded bribe Rs.35,000\/- to initiate the mutation case for conversion of land. Despite repeated requests by the applicant, the accused duo insisted on taking the demanded bribe. After failing to meet the demanded bribe, the applicant ( Complainant) approached the vigilance authorities narrating harassment by Smt Jena and Sri Behera. Based on this, today, a team of Odisha Vigilance nabbed both the accused Smt. Jena, RI and Sri Behera, ARI while taking bribe Rs,35,000\/- from the complt. <em>The entire tainted bribe money Rs.35,000\/- has been recovered from them and seized<\/em>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"768\" height=\"1024\" src=\"https:\/\/agamiduniya.in\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/09\/803089-768x1024.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-9270\" srcset=\"https:\/\/agamiduniya.in\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/09\/803089-768x1024.jpg 768w, https:\/\/agamiduniya.in\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/09\/803089-225x300.jpg 225w, https:\/\/agamiduniya.in\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/09\/803089.jpg 960w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 768px) 100vw, 768px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Following the trap, simultaneous searches are being conducted at their office and houses at Vill- Bramhakumdi (Charichhak), Achyutapur (Chandanpur) and Rasulgarh, Bhubaneswar from the DA angle.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"768\" height=\"1024\" src=\"https:\/\/agamiduniya.in\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/09\/803090-768x1024.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-9271\" srcset=\"https:\/\/agamiduniya.in\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/09\/803090-768x1024.jpg 768w, https:\/\/agamiduniya.in\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/09\/803090-225x300.jpg 225w, https:\/\/agamiduniya.in\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/09\/803090.jpg 960w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 768px) 100vw, 768px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In this connection, Bhubaneswar Vigilance P.S. Case No. 20 dated 05.09.2026 u\/s 7P.C. (Amendment) Act, 2018 has been registered. Investigation is in progress against the accused duo Smt.Jena and Sri Behera,ARI.
