Trained as Mobile Hardware Repair Technicians, the candidates have now secured positions with the Indian units of major electronics manufacturers, including&nbsp;Tata Electronics, Foxconn&nbsp;and&nbsp;Dixon Technologies. This marks another major milestone in the programme&#8217;s efforts to connect local youth with emerging career opportunities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The VeDakshata project, which commenced in 2025, has steadily expanded its transformative impact across Jharsuguda. Earlier this year, Vedanta Aluminium facilitated training for&nbsp;60 candidates&nbsp;in&nbsp;Mobile Repairing<strong>&nbsp;<\/strong>and&nbsp;Food &amp; Beverage Services, followed by another batch of&nbsp;30 candidates&nbsp;completing the&nbsp;Food &amp; Beverage Services programme. With more than&nbsp;120 youth trained to date, the initiative is creating a robust pipeline of skilled talent while fostering stronger linkages between local communities and emerging employment opportunities across key industries.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Among the latest cohort, women trainees have received employment opportunities with&nbsp;Tata Electronics and Foxconn in Bengaluru, while male trainees have been placed with&nbsp;Dixon Technologies in Chennai, creating pathways for local youth to enter India\u2019s rapidly expanding electronics manufacturing ecosystem.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Sharing the impact of the project,<strong>&nbsp;C Chandru, CEO, Vedanta Aluminium, Jharsuguda<\/strong>, said,&nbsp;<em>\u201cThe true value of skilling lies in its ability to create tangible livelihood opportunities. Through VeDakshata, we are steadily building a extensive framework that connects youth from Jharsuguda with industry-relevant skills and credible employment avenues. The placement with leading companies reinforces the strong impact achieved by this model, and we will continue expanding such opportunities across emerging sectors.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The offer letters and course completion certificates were presented during a valedictory ceremony at the VeDakshata Centre in Jharsuguda, in the presence ofsenior representatives from the company.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Jayshree Naik, a candidate of VeDakshata Initiative, from Jamera<strong>,<\/strong>&nbsp;said, \u201c<em>The programme helped me gain practical technical skills and understand what is expected in a professional workplace. Receiving a job opportunity after completing the training has given me confidence to begin my career and support my family.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">VeDakshata is Vedanta Aluminium&#8217;s flagship skill development initiative aimed at enhancing employability among youth from communities around Jharsuguda. Through industry-aligned training in Mobile Repairing Hardware Technician and Food &amp; Beverage Services, the programme combines hands-on learning, workplace readiness, career guidance and placement support.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Through VeDakshata and its wider community development programmes, Vedanta Aluminium continues to invest in the holistic development of communities around Jharsuguda.
