- Discussions on development of renewable energy, agri sector

Today, the Consul General of Australia Bernad Lynch paid a courtesy call on Deputy Chief Minister and Minister of Agriculture and Farmers’ Empowerment, Energy Shri Kanak Vardhan Singh Deo at Lok Seva Bhavan. The Consul General Lynch appreciated the steps taken by the Energy sector & Agriculture sector of Odisha. Right now Odisha has surpassed the national average growth rate in terms of agriculture. Odisha is strengthening its power infrastructure through advanced technologies, this has further enhanced the power generation and transmission capacity of Odisha and he expressed that now Odisha has made a significant strides in enhancing its power sector with a focus on sustainable and secure energy future.
Deputy Chief Minister Shri Singh Deo said that Odisha has recently implemented many projects focusing on its renewable energy usage & production and it has also formulated the necessary policies for this. This will further strengthen and boost renewable energy production, leveraging Odisha’s natural resources. Likewise, the agri sector is breaking the benchmark by bumper production, multiplying the farmers income. This meeting will prove to be crucial in further strengthening Australia-India-Odisha relations, fostering cooperation in clean energy & technology with a focus on Viksit Odisha for Viksit Bharat.
