Puri /Bhubaneswar 9.02.2026 (ADN) The Indian Navy’s Batch 01/1996 celebrated its Pearl Anniversary with a grand reunion held from 4 February to 6 February 2026 at Puri and the historic training establishment of INS Chilka. The three-day event witnessed the enthusiastic participation of 250 batchmates, marking three decades since they began their journey in naval service.
The reunion was graced by senior officers of the Indian Navy, including Rear Admiral Rahul Shankar, NM, former Divisional Officer of the batch. Also present were Commodore B Deepak Aneel, Station Commander and Naval Officer-in-Charge (NOIC), Odisha, Captain (IN) R. Rajesh, a distinguished officer and proud batchmate of the 01/1996 course, the Commanding Officer of INHS Nivarani, and other senior officers. Their presence added dignity and emotional depth to the occasion, symbolically linking the formative training years with the present day.
The programme provided a meaningful platform for veterans to reconnect, relive shared experiences, and strengthen the enduring bonds of camaraderie forged during service. As part of the celebrations, members who rendered commendable service to the nation were formally felicitated in recognition of their dedication, professionalism, and contribution to national defence.
A poignant highlight of the reunion was the visit to INS Chilka, where the veterans revisited the barracks and parade ground that shaped their early naval lives. Cultural programmes, interaction sessions, and a felicitation ceremony reflected the spirit of unity, mutual respect, and naval tradition. The celebrations were further enriched by the traditional ‘Bada Khana’, reinforcing the timeless ethos of the service.
The Pearl Anniversary reunion concluded on an emotional and fulfilling note, leaving participants with cherished memories and a renewed sense of pride in having served the nation under the Indian Navy—reaffirming the bond that truly embodies the spirit of “once a sailor, always a sailor.”

ପୁରି /ଭୁବନେଶ୍ୱର 9.02.2026 (ଆ.ଦୁ.ନି): ଭାରତୀୟ ନୌସେନାର ବ୍ୟାଚ୍ 01/1996 ପୁରୀ ଓ ଐତିହାସିକ ପ୍ରଶିକ୍ଷଣ କେନ୍ଦ୍ର INS ଚିଲିକାରେ 4 ଫେବୃଆରୀ ରୁ 6 ଫେବୃଆରୀ 2026 ପର୍ଯ୍ୟନ୍ତ ଏକ ଭବ୍ୟ ପୁନର୍ମିଳନୀ କାର୍ଯ୍ୟକ୍ରମ ମାଧ୍ୟମରେ ନିଜର pearl ଜୟନ୍ତୀ ପାଳନ କରିଥିଲେ । ତିନି ଦିନିଆ କାର୍ଯ୍ୟକ୍ରମରେ 250 ଜଣ ବ୍ୟାଚ୍ ସହଯୋଗୀଙ୍କ ଉତ୍ସାହପୂର୍ଣ୍ଣ ଉପସ୍ଥିତି ଦେଖିବାକୁ ମିଳିଥିଲା, ଯାହା ତାଙ୍କର ନୌସେନା ସେବା ଜୀବନରେ ପ୍ରବେଶ କରିବାରୁ ତିନି ଦଶକ ପୂରଣ ହେବାକୁ ସୂଚିତ କରେ ।
ଏହି ପୁନର୍ମିଳନୀକୁ ଭାରତୀୟ ନୌସେନାର ବରିଷ୍ଠ ଅଧିକାରୀମାନେ ଶୋଭାୟମାନ କରିଥିଲେ, ଯାହାରେ ବ୍ୟାଚ୍ର ପୂର୍ବତନ ଡିଭିଜନାଲ୍ ଅଫିସର୍ ରିଅର୍ ଆଡମିରାଲ୍ ରାହୁଲ୍ ଶଙ୍କର, NM ଅନ୍ତର୍ଭୁକ୍ତ ଥିଲେ । ଏହା ସହିତ ଓଡ଼ିଶାର ଷ୍ଟେସନ୍ କମାଣ୍ଡର ଓ ନାଭାଲ୍ ଅଫିସର୍-ଇନ୍-ଚାର୍ଜ (NOIC) କମୋଡୋର୍ ବି. ଦୀପକ ଅନୀଲ, 01/1996 ବ୍ୟାଚ୍ର ଗର୍ବିତ ସଦସ୍ୟ ଏବଂ ଜଣେ ପ୍ରତିଷ୍ଠିତ ଅଧିକାରୀ କ୍ୟାପ୍ଟେନ୍ (IN) ଆର୍. ରାଜେଶ, INHS ନିବାରଣୀର କମାଣ୍ଡିଂ ଅଫିସର୍ ଓ ଅନ୍ୟାନ୍ୟ ବରିଷ୍ଠ ଅଧିକାରୀମାନେ ଉପସ୍ଥିତ ଥିଲେ । ତାଙ୍କର ଉପସ୍ଥିତି କାର୍ଯ୍ୟକ୍ରମକୁ ଗମ୍ଭୀରତା ଓ ଭାବନାତ୍ମକ ଗଭୀରତା ପ୍ରଦାନ କରି, ପ୍ରଶିକ୍ଷଣର ପ୍ରାରମ୍ଭିକ ଦିନଗୁଡ଼ିକୁ ବର୍ତ୍ତମାନ ସହିତ ପ୍ରତୀକାତ୍ମକ ଭାବେ ସଂଯୋଗ କରିଥିଲା ।
ଏହି କାର୍ଯ୍ୟକ୍ରମ ଭେଟେରାନ୍ ସଦସ୍ୟମାନଙ୍କୁ ପୁନଃ ସଂଯୋଗ ସ୍ଥାପନ, ସାଂଝା ଅନୁଭବଗୁଡ଼ିକୁ ସ୍ମରଣ କରିବା ଏବଂ ସେବାକାଳୀନ ସମୟରେ ଗଢ଼ିଉଠିଥିବା ଦୀର୍ଘକାଳୀନ ସହଯୋଗୀତାର ବନ୍ଧନକୁ ଅଧିକ ସୁଦୃଢ଼ କରିବାର ଏକ ଅର୍ଥପୂର୍ଣ୍ଣ ମଞ୍ଚ ପ୍ରଦାନ କରିଥିଲା । ଉତ୍ସବର ଅଂଶ ଭାବରେ, ଦେଶ ପାଇଁ ପ୍ରଶଂସନୀୟ ସେବା ଦେଇଥିବା ସଦସ୍ୟମାନଙ୍କୁ ତାଙ୍କର ନିଷ୍ଠା, ପେଶାଦାରିତା ଓ ଜାତୀୟ ସୁରକ୍ଷାରେ ଅବଦାନ ପାଇଁ ଔପଚାରିକ ଭାବେ ସମ୍ମାନିତ କରାଯାଇଥିଲା ।
ପୁନର୍ମିଳନୀର ଏକ ଭାବାନୁଭୂତିପୂର୍ଣ୍ଣ ଆକର୍ଷଣ ଥିଲା INS ଚିଲିକା ଦର୍ଶନ, ଯେଉଁଠାରେ ଭେଟେରାନ୍ମାନେ ତାଙ୍କର ପ୍ରାରମ୍ଭିକ ନୌସେନା ଜୀବନକୁ ଗଢ଼ିଥିବା ବ୍ୟାରାକ୍ ଓ ପ୍ୟାରେଡ୍ ଗ୍ରାଉଣ୍ଡକୁ ପୁନଃ ଦେଖିଥିଲେ । ସାଂସ୍କୃତିକ କାର୍ଯ୍ୟକ୍ରମ, ଆଲୋଚନା ସତ୍ର ଓ ସମ୍ମାନନା କାର୍ଯ୍ୟକ୍ରମ ଏକତା, ପରସ୍ପର ସମ୍ମାନ ଓ ନୌସେନା ପରମ୍ପରାର ଆତ୍ମାକୁ ପ୍ରତିବିମ୍ବିତ କରିଥିଲା । ପାରମ୍ପରିକ ‘ବଡ଼ ଖାନା’ ଉତ୍ସବକୁ ଅଧିକ ଉଜ୍ଜ୍ୱଳ କରି, ସେବାର ଶାଶ୍ୱତ ଆଦର୍ଶକୁ ପୁନଃ ମଜବୁତ କରିଥିଲା ।
