Puri|Bhubaneswar 17 April 2026 [ADN] The XIM University, a premier institution dedicated to academic excellence and the development of responsible global leaders, successfully hosted its 12th Postgraduate Convocation today , At new campus auditorium
The University conferred a total of 06 doctoral and 807 postgraduate degrees across its diverse schools. The graduating cohort includes specialists in Business Management, Human Resource Management, Rural Management, Sustainability, Business Finance, Urban Management, Law, and Economics. Top rank holders from each program were felicitated with Medals by the Chief Guest for Academic Excellence for their outstanding scholastic performance. The ceremony marked a significant milestone for 813 graduates as they transitioned into their professional careers.
Shri Nikhil Sawhney the Vice Chairman and Managing Director of Triveni Turbine Limited was the Chief Guest for the occasion. Shri Sawhney, an alumnus of the University of Cambridge and The Wharton School, has been instrumental in scaling global sustainable energy solutions. Under his leadership, Triveni Turbine Limited was recognized on the Forbes Asia ‘Best Under a Billion’ list in 2024 and 2025. In recognition of his distinguished contribution to the field of business and sustainable energy, XIM University conferred an Honorary Doctorate in Business Management upon him.
Prof. Pradyumna Kumar Mohanty, Dean, School of Commerce welcomed all the students, parents, dignitaries, and guests. Fr. Jerome Cutinha, S.J., Chairman, officially declared the convocation open and presided over the conferral of degrees. Dr. Fr. K.S. Casimir, S.J., Vice Chancellor, presented the annual report highlighting the university’s milestones and its mission to prepare graduates with the strategic insights necessary for a rapidly evolving marketplace. Shri Nikhil Sawhney, Chief Guest, delivered the Convocation Address, inspiring students to embrace innovation and ethical leadership.
The graduation ceremony was graced by several distinguished dignitaries, including Shri Rajive Kaul, Emeritus Chairman of the Board of Governors, Fr. S. Antony Raj S.J., Registrar, Fr. Arokiyadass Vanathaian, S.J., Chief Finance Officer and the Deans of various schools at XIM University. Additionally, few esteemed Board Members were also present to commemorate the occasion. The ceremony concluded with a solemn pledge administered to the graduates, committing them to professional integrity and service to society, followed by a Vote of Thanks by the Registrar, Fr. S. Antony Raj, S.J.Quote by the Vice Chancellor:
