
The film marks a historic milestone as the first-ever Rajasthani-language feature to be screened at IFFI, Goa, and is a co-production by Jitendra Mishra and Jigar Nagda under their respective banners, Cinema4Good Pvt. Ltd. and Udaipur Pictures. It Jitendra Mishra is a National Award–winning and internationally acclaimed filmmaker, producer and an overwhelming response from packed audiences, with both screenings running to full houses at INOX Panaji on 24th November and INOX Porvorim on 25th November. Organized by the National Film Development Corporation (NFDC) under the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Indian Panorama is the flagship section of the International Film Festival of India (IFFI) that selects the year’s best feature and non-feature Indian films of cinematic, thematic and aesthetic excellence. Introduced in 1978 as part of the stupendous IFFI umbrella, its purpose is to promote Indian cinema, culture and heritage through the non-profit screening of outstanding contemporary Indian films.

Shot in Rajsamand district and Udaipur district which are surrounded by the aravali ranges in Rajasthan, Whispers of the Mountains is a deeply moving narrative about a father and son caught between survival and ideals. The film poignantly explores the cost of progress, the resilience of the human spirit, and the unyielding bond between man and nature.
The Whispers of the Mountains is born out of my deep connection and observation with the land and its people, said Jigar Nagda. Through the story of a father and son, we’ve tried to show how neglecting environment can harm you personally and how should society can keep balance between economic growth and environment growth hand in hand, this film show the strength of those who live in harmony with nature and the difficult choices they face in the name of progress.
