Bhubaneswar,September 21.9.2026[ADN]: Mr. Rajinder Singh, Managing Partner of Kalamandir, was honoured with the prestigious Times Icons of Odisha – 2026 Award for his achievements and contribution to the fashion retail sector, particularly in sarees, dresses and fashion accessories. The award was presented by His Excellency the Governor of Odisha, Dr. Hari Babu Kambhampati, at a ceremony held at Hotel Mayfair Convention on September 21, 2026.
Mr. Rajinder Singh began his entrepreneurial journey in 1977 by establishing Kalamandir with a small retail unit. With vision, ambition and a commitment to innovation, he gradually expanded the business with the support of his two brothers, transforming the family venture into a recognised retail brand.
Trust, fair dealing and strong customer relationships have remained central to Kalamandir’s growth. Over the years, the brand has established a strong retail presence with eight outlets across the saree and readymade dress segments.
The award recognises Mr. Singh’s entrepreneurial journey and Kalamandir’s evolution from a modest beginning into a growing retail enterprise. His journey reflects perseverance, family values, customer trust and a sustained commitment to excellence.
