Mr. Rajiv Shinghal General secretary of AIOCD says There are continued concerns over the unregulated operation of e-pharmacies, particularly regarding ultra-fast delivery models and deep discounting practices that threaten public health and the livelihoods of traditional chemists.Chemists are urging the government to consult them before finalizing rules for over-the-counter (OTC) medicines, fearing that a more liberal policy could lead to the inappropriate use of drugs and the spread of fake medicine
All the dignitaries highlighted the responsibility and services provided by the chemist fraternity of the state. They emphasized how the association checks unethical practices in trade by verifying all documents and ensuring a transparent supply chain. They also discussed strengthening the chemist community by enhancing educational programs so that new rules adopted by the government are well understood and implemented.
They further underlined the introduction of GST 2.0 and its benefits for the customers. From the very first day of its rollout, the chemists provided all necessary support for smooth implementation.
President UCDA highlighted how strictly the new government policies are being followed by the chemist fraternity. General Secretary UCDA, Prasanta Mohapatra, acknowledged the dedicated service of the chemist community across the State. He also thanked the President and Honorary Secretary of KDCDA, Mr. Giriprasad Rath, and Mr. Prasanta Kumar Jena. He also appreciated his team for their excellent arrangements.
